Alyssa Ewell

Alyssa is a second-year graduate student in the master’s degree program for speech-language pathology. She graduated from Michigan State University with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Communicative Sciences and Disorders. Her research interests include understanding how aspects of language and cognition impact the communication of individuals with developmental disabilities across contexts. Currently, Alyssa is working on a project exploring how types of communication partners (familiar and unfamiliar) influence gesture use in autistic individuals and individuals with Fragile X syndrome. Alyssa enjoys spending time with her family, baking, and hiking in her free time.
